You will be warmly welcomed by one of our guides at your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, from where you will be taken to your accommodation in Arusha.

Day 1

Miriakamba Hut (2.500 meters, 5 to 7 hours duration)

Starting at 9:00 am at your hotel, you will receive a short climbing briefing and then depart to Momella gate in Arusha National Park, the starting point of the hike. Register in the park while the porters organize and pack your belongings, and then begin your ascent. The first day of hiking you will watch giraffes, antelopes, buffalos and even some elephant if you are lucky, reason why an armed ranger of the National Park will escort you during all this time. Have dinner and rest at sunset at the camp Miriakamba Hut.

Day 2

Saddle Hut (3.500 meters, 3 to 5 hours duration)

Start ascending up after breakfast, and enjoy the spectacular view of the Meru Crater and the Ash Tray. After lunch at Saddle Hut you will be also able to climb the summit of Little Meru (3.820 m). An early dinner will help you recover strength for your midnight summit attempt.

Day 3

Summit attempt (4.565 m) – Miriakamba hut (2.500 m) Hiking duration 10 to 12 hours

After tea and biscuits around 00:30 am, begin your summer attempt at 1:30 am. You will reach the summit on time for the sunrise, after climbing the Rhino Point (3.800 m) and the Cobra Point (4.350 m). Have a short rest and brunch at Saddle Hut before continuing the descent to the camp Miriakamba Hut.

Day 4

Arusha (1.400 m, 2 to 3 hours duration)

Have a long rest and breakfast before starting the descent to Momella gate, hiking though the forest and meadows in a safari-like experience, until you meet with your driver, who will take you back to your accommodation in Arusha.
